Visual design and usability consulting: 2am Webworks, Developer: QBIT

The Centre for Communication Research Excellence Aphasia have launched a national registry for communication research. They needed usability and accessibility consulting as well as a website design that was easy for all people to use with a special focus on supporting users with communication disability.

2am conducted card sorting and tree testing exercises with diverse groups of target users, as well as prototyping to ensure the site was as easy to use as possible. The site has two implementations one of which utilises special features aimed at people with aphasia.



Outer Rim Trading Co

Authorised LEGO reseller, Outer Rim Trading Co., needed an eCommerce solution that was simple to update and just worked. On top of that, ORTCo had a specific artistic vision to match the company name.

“At first, I was a little hesitant of using Flux, as all my past experience was in basic HTML. That hesitation soon passed as I realised how simple it is to use. With over 450 individual products spread over a dozen product categories, Flux manages it all smoothly and keeps my LEGO sales turning over.”

As part of the development of a set of 12 sites for Urban Land Development Authority, the Northshore Hamilton website was redeveloped. The fully-responsive website includes up-to-date information on the development, with the inclusion of an automatically updated weather feed and event calandar.


Romagnola Beef Genetics

As one of Australia's premier stud cattle operations, RBG asked us to design and implement a site that featured information about their breeding operation in Roma, and featured images of the major sires and dams in their bloodlines. It also needed to capture email addresses, and allow for sales enquiries through the website.


Le Step Dance Company

Le Step is one of Brisbane's best-known evening dance classes teaching a popular style of partner dance - think of all the best parts of salsa, ballroom and rock-n-roll, add a night club, and voila! You've got Modern Jive.

Le Step is for people from all walks of life, offering evening classes on several nights each week in multiple locations, weekend workshops, competitions, routines and a social atmosphere for fun, fitness and friendship. Their weekly newsletter is sent out to several thousand recipients.



Technical Fusion

Technical Fusion specialise in recruitment for the mining, engineering and construction industries. They required a website that allowed job seekers and employers to make contact easily.

Technical Fusion features a customised jobs directory through which positions are displayed and job seekers can forward their applications.


Paint the Town Red*

Visual design: 2am Webworks

An unheard of partnership between Australian Red Cross Blood Service and high-profile Brisbane charity, Mummy's Wish, Paint the Town Red aimed to encourage monetary donations to Mummy's Wish and blood donation for ARCBS, while highlighting the vital role that blood donation plays in the treatment of cancer.

It featured integration with 3rd-party fundraising software by Direct Marketing Software.
